Amenities in Papiano

In the newer part of Papiano there is an excellent butcher, baker, hairdresser, good general store, a bar and a post office within five minutes walk from the house. The local station, which connects to all main centres, is only two kilometres from the house.

There are also several supermarkets nearby, the biggest of these being in Marsciano, the local market town, which offers a full range of shops and services.  Stefania’s, an award-winning ice-cream shop, is well worth a visit.

If you go further afield to Perugia, about 15 km, you will find Collestrada, a huge superstore surrounded by many other shops and services.

The local station, Papiano Stazione, which connects to all main centres, including Florence, Rome, Siena, is only two kilometres from the house.

Perugia International Airport – Ryanair from Stanstead (30 minutes drive from Papiano).
Rome Leonardo da Vinci airport at Fiumicino – Easyjet and Ryanair (2 hours drive).
Pisa – Easy jet and Ryanair (2 ½  hours drive)
Ancona – Easy jet and Ryanair (2 hours drive)
